Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Business Development Manager position will report directly to the Director of Sales for PTI Security Systems.

  • Drive sales within existing customer accounts by managing relationships, expanding individual sale sizes, and delivering value propositions
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities, positioning the value of PTI solutions and increasing overall market share
  • Set account and territory plans to exceed sales quota on an annual/quarterly/monthly basis
  • Record sales activities in CRM or current management program
  • Maintain high post-sales satisfaction facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers
  • Network with industry influencers, professional associations, and a variety of partners
  • Maintain an understanding of trends/issues within the self-storage industry


Required Qualifications Include:

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Business to Business & Business to Customer sales
  • Strong sales skills including negotiating and persuasion
  • Strong intrinsic desire to succeed
  • Smart, Hungry and Humble


Education and/or Experience            

  • Bachelor Degree or higher education.
  • 3+ years experience in an incentive based sales position required


Language Skills                  

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Public speaking experience is a plus   


Computer Skills    

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar CRM tools and analysis such as


Work Requirements

  • Ability and commitment to travel on regular basis approx. 30%-50%.
  • Travel includes Canada, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
