Business analysts (BAs) are responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver a solution design that meets those needs. Business analyst’s main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role a person should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Represent the HID/Professional Services (PS) as the industry SME in one or more verticals for regulations, policies, procedures, and overall best practices. 
  • Contribute to the assessment, level of effort estimation and positioning of Professional Services during sales and pre-sales negotiations.
  • Collaborate with pre-sale on customization requirement estimate and design
  • Introduce and educate PS team to new product features.
  • Comprehend clients’ business requirements and objectives while ensuring alignment with the HID solution to drive desired business outcomes.
  • Create solution design documentation for Customer deployments.
  • Able to support multiple client facing projects at the same time.
  • Conduct meetings with third party vendors on project scope, requirements and solution
  • Understanding of high-level database schematic structures
  • Liaison with Product and Engineering teams for new and upcoming features
  • Develop and own business scenario-based acceptance document to ensure validation of client requirements upon delivery
  • Develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integrations
  • Assist in the design, document and maintain system processes
  • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team
  • Communicate key insights and findings to product team to drive product enhancements

 

Education and/or Experience          

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analysis, with at least 4 years in a client-facing capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline. Candidates with equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Understanding of enterprise software delivery life cycle
  • Proven experience in obtaining requirements and performing testing
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Capability to handle shifting priorities and maintain demeanor in high intensity situations.
  • Solid experience in writing SQL queries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, on an as needed basis
  • Time management and organizational skills
