We are looking for a Product Designer with strong focus on user centricity and iterative design process to work with our Global User Experience team. The candidate will report to our Sr. Director of User Experience, immersed in a stimulating design thinking culture. You’ll partner with product owners, engineers and other designers to create new and innovative experiences, develop persona and user journeys, facilitate workshops, and identify the most elegant solutions. The designer in this role will relentlessly advocate for the user, create simple experiences centered on users needs, help define our customer journeys and establish an inclusive design approach.

 

The ideal candidate is fluent in design tools (such as Sketch and its plug-ins, Figma, UX Pin, InVision, and/or Adobe suite) and familiar with all phases of product design from ideation to development, including prototyping and iterative design.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design simple and elegant experiences across multiple touch points for complex enterprise software projects
  • Develop personas and user journeys
  • Guide the definition of user-centric product requirements
  • Facilitate design activities and workshops
  • Contribute to the HID Design System

 

Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio focused on user centric product design
  • Fluent in user experience best practices and trends
  • Experience integrating user research and testing feedback into work product
  • Experience with agile tools and ceremonies

Desired but not required

  • Domain knowledge in enterprise design thinking, UX, and/or software
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional design activities and workshops
  • Experience with SAFe practices

 

Education and/or Experience          

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc), Human-Computer Interactions (HCI) or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a product designer and/or UX/UI designer role
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience

 

Computer Skills     

  • Fluent in design tools (such as Figma, Sketch and its plug-ins, or Illustrator)
  • Fluent in prototyping tools (such as Axure, InVision, or other)
  • Fluent in project management tools (such as JIRA, Confluence, or other)
