Reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards, the Compensation Manager will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of global compensation programs and initiatives, ensuring consistency with HID Global’s compensation philosophy and alignment with overall strategic objectives. 


This position will be responsible to drive a high-level of collaboration with the broader HR team and key stakeholders throughout the business providing analytical support and complex evaluations ensuring that our pay programs attract and retain top talent, reinforce our values and drive a high-performance culture.  The successful candidate will also ensure continuity in the development and continuous improvement of existing and future career frameworks throughout the business.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads, implements, and administers the Company's annual compensation process and planning programs
  • Ensures the compensation programs supports the Company's total rewards strategy and aligns with the Company's overall business goals and objectives
  • Researches and compares incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assess competitors' plans and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organization's plans competitive and effective
  • Completes compensation global benchmarking evaluations and other ad hoc analysis upon request
  • Completes the annual compensation survey submission process for the organization
  • Develops and enhances a global salary structure and career model framework.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education / Experience / Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of compensation analysis experience in a global, complex corporate organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in HRIS and compensation systems knowledge (preferably SuccessFactors SAP and/or ADP)
  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritize and multitask in a face pace environment
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple and/or shifting priorities. This is a 'solutions focused' team that rolls up their sleeves and wears many hats. 'Scrappiness' is valued highly
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, work independently and exercise discretion and sound independent judgement
  • Expert knowledge in excel with the ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills, with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities


Language Skills                   

  • Fluency in written and spoken English


Computer Skills     

  • Experience working with a robust HRIS system and compensation benchmarking software (such as CompAnalyst or MarketPay) as well as working knowledge of compensation programs
